A blog post template needs somewhere to actually show the post’s body – your theme’s default placement is not always where you want it.
The Post Content widget renders the post’s content at any position in your Elementor-built template, as full content or a short excerpt.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Prerequisite: Elementor (free) installed and active.
- Template builder: use the free Nexter Builder, or Elementor Pro if you already have it, to build the single-post/archive template these widgets are placed into.
- Edition: all Blog Builder widgets are free – they work with just The Plus Addons for Elementor installed, no Pro licence required.
- Widget to enable: go to The Plus Addons > Widgets, search for Post Content and turn its toggle on.
Steps
- Add the Post Content widget to the template.
- From Post Types, choose Single Page to show one post’s full content, or Archive Page to show a content snippet per post in a listing.
Content Type (Single Page only)
With Post Types set to Single Page, the Content Type dropdown chooses between Full Content (the entire post body, the default) and Excerpt (a short summary).
Content Source
Also on Single Page, the Content dropdown chooses which editor’s output to render: Elementor (the default – shows the post as Elementor built it) or WordPress (the post’s classic/Gutenberg editor content instead). Use WordPress if the post itself was written in the block editor rather than designed with Elementor.

- Live rendering of the WordPress content-source option against a post that was written in the classic/Gutenberg editor rather than Elementor – this needs a dedicated fixture in Phase 3, since the Element Cache trap noted in STATUS-AND-PROCESS.md has previously caused unrelated widgets to render blank.
