# Table Elementor Widget Settings Overview

## 

- The Table widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor builds specification, price list, schedule and comparison tables inside the Elementor editor, with images, icons and buttons in cells.
- The free Table widget uses Custom data entry, while Pro adds CSV File, Google Sheet, Plus Form and SQL Query sources.
- Table Extra Settings include Table Vertical Scrollbar, Table Searchable, Table Sortable, Entry Filter Dropdown and Mobile Responsive layouts.

The **Table** widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor builds them in the Elementor editor, with images, icons and buttons in cells, plus search, sorting, a row limit and mobile layouts. With Pro it can also fill the table from a CSV file, Google Sheets, form submissions or a database query.

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** the Table widget is **free**. The CSV File, Google Sheet, Plus Form and SQL Query sources, tooltips and Icons Mind icons need The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro.- Elementor and The Plus Addons for Elementor installed and active.- **Widget to enable:** Table, switched on under **The Plus Addons > Widgets**.

## Add the Widget

In the Elementor editor, search for “table” in the widget panel and drag **Table** onto the page. It starts with a sample table of three columns and three rows that you can edit or replace.

## Content Table: Where the Data Comes From

**Content > Table > Content Table** sets the source.

In the free plugin the Pro sources are listed with “(Pro)” and show an upgrade notice. A table saved with a Pro source showed no data on the page when we deactivated Pro.

## Build a Custom Table

### Table Header

Each row starts with an item whose **Action** is **Start New Row**. The items after it, with **Action** set to **Cell Content**, are the cells of that row. Add cells with **+ Add Item**.

- **CONTENT** tab: **Text**, and with Pro **Tooltip**, **Tooltip On** (**Box** or **Icon**) and **Tooltip Content**.- **ICON / IMAGE** tab: an icon or image next to the header text.- **ADVANCE** tab: **Column Span**, **Row Span**, **Column Width**, **Color**, **Background Color** and **Text Alignment** for that cell.

A header usually has one row. Editing the header cells looks like this:

### Table Body

The body works the same way: a **Start New Row** item, then one **Cell Content** item per column. Give each row the same number of cells as the header.

- **Content** tab: **Text**, **Link**, **Button** (with Button Text, URL/Link and Custom Attributes) and, with Pro, **Tooltip**.- **ICON / IMAGE** tab: an icon or an image in the cell.- **Advance** tab: **Text Alignment**, **Column Span**, **Row Span** and **Mark this cell as a Table Heading?**.

## Limitations

- Merged cells (Column Span or Row Span) cannot be combined with **Table Searchable**, **Table Sortable** or **Entry Filter Dropdown**: visitors saw a DataTables warning popup and the option did not work.- Sorting compares text, so numbers of different lengths sort out of order (119 before 29).- Font Awesome icons in cells use Font Awesome 4 classes that the widget does not load, so they can be invisible.- Per-cell icons, images, buttons and tooltips only exist for the Custom source.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Q: Why is my Elementor table showing no data after I deactivate Pro?**
A: That usually happens when the table was saved with a Pro-only source.
