In structure, both widgets are very similar, but there are two main differences when comparing the Elementor accordion vs toggle.
First, in toggle by default on page load, all toggle items are collapsed, but for accordion, the first item is expanded. However, The Plus Addons for Elementor Accordion comes with functionality to close all accordion items by default or open a specific accordion item.
Second, in toggle, you can expand all items by clicking on them one by one, but in accordion, only one item can be expanded at a time and once you click on a new item, the previously open item collapses automatically.
But if you want to expand all accordion items at once, The Plus Addons for Elementor’s Accordion widget gives you that option to expand or collapse all items on button click. See How to Expand or Close all Elementor Accordion Items on Button Click for full steps. You can also set accordion items to cycle through automatically using How to Change Accordion Items Automatically with Autoplay in Elementor, or trigger them without a click using How to Open an Accordion on Hover in Elementor.
For a completely different interaction pattern that shows and hides an entire inner section rather than individual text items, see How to Toggle an Elementor Inner Section.
