# How to Add a Link to The Info box in Elementor? [Full Infobox link]

## 

- Full Infobox Link wraps the entire Info Box in one link, so the icon, title, description, and padding all respond to a click.
- The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro is required, and in the free plugin the Full Infobox Link switch appears but does not make the box clickable.

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** **Pro** — Full Infobox Link needs The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. In the free plugin the option is still in the panel but shows an upgrade notice instead of working.- **Widget to enable:** Info Box, switched on under **The Plus Addons > Widgets**. In the Elementor panel it appears under **Plus Essential**.- **Listing layout only.** In the **Carousel** layout the same switch lives inside each **Carousel InfoBox** row instead.

## There Are Two Controls Called "Link"

This is the single thing that trips people up, so it is worth getting straight before you start. The **Content** tab can show two separate fields with the same label.

## Make the Box Clickable

- Add the **Info Box** widget and set it up as usual — **Info Box Style**, **Title Of Info Box**, **Description** and your icon.- Leave the **Link** field under the description empty.- Scroll down the **Content** tab and switch **Full Infobox Link** to **Yes**.- A second **Link** field appears directly beneath it. Enter the destination URL there.- Use the settings icon in that field if you want the link to open in a new tab or carry a `nofollow` attribute.

## How It Behaves

- The link wraps the box itself, so the icon, the title, the description and the padding around them all respond to a click.- A **Button** inside the box keeps its own **Button Link**. Clicking the button goes where the button points; clicking anywhere else goes where the full-box link points.- Because the whole box becomes one link, the title stops being separately clickable. That is the intended behaviour, not a fault.- The link is live on the published page. In the editor, clicking the box selects the widget instead.

## Limitations

- **The field starts as `#`, not empty.** If you switch **Full Infobox Link** on and never fill the link in, the box is fully clickable and goes nowhere — the page simply jumps to the top. Always set a real URL.- **The two Link fields share one label.** Nothing in the panel distinguishes them, so it is easy to fill in the wrong one and conclude the feature is broken.- **It needs Pro.** In the free plugin the switch is present but the box is never wrapped in a link, so clicking it does nothing at all.- You cannot put a second, different link inside the box other than the button. Any link in the description text is swallowed by the outer one.

## Troubleshooting

### Clicking the box does nothing

Either **Full Infobox Link** is off, or its **Link** field is still the default `#`. Check both, and make sure you are on the published page rather than the editor canvas.

### It goes to the wrong page

You have most likely filled in the title **Link** field instead of the one that appears under **Full Infobox Link**. Clear the first and fill the second.

### Only the title is clickable

**Full Infobox Link** has not been switched on. Without it, the title **Link** field is the only link in the box.

### I cannot find the switch in a carousel

In the **Carousel** layout it moves inside the repeater. Open a **Carousel InfoBox** row and you will find **Full Infobox Link** there, one per box.

**Q: Why does my info box jump to the top of the page when clicked?**
A: That happens when Full Infobox Link is on but its URL field is still set to #. In that state, the box is clickable but points nowhere useful, so the browser just jumps to the top. A real destination URL has to go into the second Link field. This is one of the easiest mistakes to make because both fields share the same label.

**Q: What are the main limitations of full infobox links in Elementor?**
A: The biggest limitation is that you get one outer link for the whole box, plus an optional Button Link inside it. Any link in description text gets swallowed by that outer link, so you cannot stack multiple different links inside one Info Box.
