A heading that repeats the page’s own title is the one piece of text you should never have to type twice — rename the page and the heading should follow.
The Heading Title widget can pull the current page’s title in automatically, which is what you want in a template used by many pages.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Edition: Free — the Heading Title widget is part of the free The Plus Addons for Elementor plugin.
- Widget to enable: Heading Title, under The Plus Addons > Widgets. Search for it and turn the toggle on.
- Prerequisite: preview or open a real page. Page Title reads the title of the page the widget is on, so the editor canvas shows that page’s own title.
Steps
- Add the Heading Title widget to the page or template.
- In Layout, pick any Style except Animated Split.
- Set Select Heading to Page Title.
- The canvas immediately swaps the main title for the title of the page you are editing.
- Add a Sub Title in the Content section if you want a line under it, and style everything from the Style tab as usual.
How It Behaves
- Page Title replaces only the main title. Whatever is in Sub Title and Extra Title still renders exactly as typed.
- The Heading Title field keeps whatever you had typed there; it is just ignored while Page Title is selected. Switch back to Default and it returns.
- Rename the page and the heading changes with it — nothing to edit in Elementor.
- Used inside a template, it resolves per page, so one template serves every page with its own heading.
Limitations
- It reads the title of the page the widget sits on, and nothing else. There is no option to point it at a different post, or at a category or archive name.
- The Animated Split style has no Select Heading control.
- The word and character limits in Extra Option still apply, so a long page title can be trimmed there if you need it.
Troubleshooting
The heading still shows my typed text
Select Heading is still on Default. Change it to Page Title.
The heading is empty
The page has no title. Give it one in the WordPress page settings and reload the editor.
I need the title shorter
Use the limits in the Extra Option section — see the word limit doc.
The sub title still shows old text
That is expected. Page Title changes the main title only; clear the Sub Title field yourself.
