# How to Create an Elementor Login Form Popup?

##

- Utilizes the WP Login & Register widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor to create a login form popup.
- Selects 'Button Popup' from the Layout dropdown to configure the login form display.
- Customizes the popup appearance using options in the Style tab of The Plus Addons for Elementor.

A login popup keeps the page clean: visitors see one button, and the form only appears when they click it.

The **Button Popup** layout of the **WP Login & Register** widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor does this without a separate popup builder.

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** **Pro** — the WP Login & Register widget is only part of The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. The free plugin lists it as a locked Pro widget and does not add it to Elementor.- **Widget to enable:** WP Login & Register, switched on under **The Plus Addons > Widgets**.

## How to Create a Login Popup

- Add the **WP Login & Register** widget to the page or header template.- In **Forms Layout**, set **Type** to **Login**. Choose **Login and Register** instead if visitors should also be able to sign up in the same popup.- Set **Layout** to **Button Popup**.

- Open the **Button** section to change the **Button Text** (default “Login/Signup”), the **Icon** and the **Close Icon**.- Back in **Forms Layout**, use **Button Alignment** to place the button and **Content Alignment** to align the text inside the form.- Publish the page.

## How It Behaves

- The page shows only the button. Clicking it opens the login form in a popup.- The close icon in the popup closes it again.- Logged-in visitors do not see the button. They see the **My Account Menu** instead, if it is turned on.- The form inside works like the standard form: **Remember Me**, the **Lost Password** link and the **Register** link come from **Login Options**.

## Other Button Layouts

| Layout | What opens the form |
| ------ | ------------------- |
| **Button Hover** | Moving the mouse over the button shows the form below it. |
| **Button Click** | Clicking the button shows the form below it; clicking again hides it. |
| **Button Popup** | Clicking the button opens the form in a popup. |

For **Button Hover** and **Button Click**, **Drop Down Alignment** sets where the form opens (Left, Right or Center).

## Limitations

- The popup opens only from its own button. For popups on exit intent, scroll or a timer, use the Popup Builder widget with a template instead.- The widget is part of The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro only.

## Troubleshooting

### I see the account menu instead of the button

You are logged in. Check the page in a private window, or turn off **My Account Menu** if logged-in visitors should see nothing.
