# How to Connect MailerLite to an Elementor Form?

## 

- Connects MailerLite to Elementor Form using The Plus Addons for Elementor's Form widget.
- Requires MailerLite API Key and Group ID for integration setup.
- Automatically adds users to MailerLite Group upon form submission.

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** **Pro** — The MailerLite action needs The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. The free plugin does not list it.- **Widget to enable:** Form, switched on under **The Plus Addons > Widgets**.- A MailerLite account, an **API token** and the **Group ID** of an existing group.- Name your fields' **Unique ID** (field **Advance** tab) exactly like this: `email` for the email address. Other fields are not sent.

## Get Your MailerLite API Token

Log in to MailerLite, then:

- Click **Integrations** in the left sidebar.

- Under **MailerLite API**, click **Use**.

- Click **Generate new token**, give it a name, accept the terms and click **Create token**.

- Copy the token. MailerLite shows it only once.

## Find Your MailerLite Group ID

Create a group first if you don't have one. Then:

- Go to **Integrations** and click **Use** under MailerLite API again.

- Scroll to the bottom of the API page and copy the **Group ID**.

## Connect the Form Widget

- Add the Form widget to your page and set up your fields.- In **Content > Submit Actions**, add **MailerLite** to **Add Action**.- Open the **MailerLite** section and fill in the fields below, then publish.

| Setting | What to enter |
| ------- | ------------- |
| API Key | Your MailerLite API token |
| Group ID | The ID of the group the subscribers should join. Required |

## How It Behaves

- Each submission adds the email address as a MailerLite subscriber in the group you entered.

## Limitations

- **Only the email address is sent.** The first name is currently not passed to MailerLite, even if your form has a `first_name` field.- The Group ID is required: without it the action fails.

## Troubleshooting

### Visitors see “There was an error in submitting the form.”

The service rejected the request. Re-copy the key and ID without spaces, check the Email field's Unique ID is `email`, and test again. While this error shows, a Redirect action does not run.
