# How to Connect Drip to an Elementor Form?

##

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** **Pro** — The Drip action needs The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. The free plugin does not list it.- **Widget to enable:** Form, switched on under **The Plus Addons > Widgets**.- A Drip account, its **API key** and your **Account ID**.- Name your fields' **Unique ID** (field **Advance** tab) exactly like this: `email` for the email address, `first_name` for the first name and `phone` for the phone number. Other fields are not sent.

## Get Your Drip API Key

Log in to Drip, then:

- Click your user name at the top right and choose **User Settings**.

- Copy the **API Token** under User Info.

## Find Your Drip Account ID

- From the left sidebar, go to **Settings > Account**.

- Scroll down and copy the **Account ID** under General Info.

## Connect the Form Widget

- Add the Form widget to your page and set up your fields.- In **Content > Submit Actions**, add **Drip** to **Add Action**.- Open the **Drip** section and fill in the fields below, then publish.

| Setting | What to enter |
| ------- | ------------- |
| API Key | Your Drip API token |
| Account ID | Your Drip account ID |

## How It Behaves

- Each submission sends the email, first name and phone number to Drip as a subscriber.

## Limitations

- Only the email, first name and phone number are sent.- The subscriber is not added to a campaign or given a tag.

## Troubleshooting

### Visitors see “There was an error in submitting the form.”

The service rejected the request. Re-copy the key and ID without spaces, check the Email field's Unique ID is `email`, and test again. While this error shows, a Redirect action does not run.
