# How to Use Elementor Template in Accordion Content?

## 

- The Plus Addons for Elementor Accordion widget shows an Elementor template inside any accordion item, and it works in the free plugin too.
- Templates are created in Templates > Saved Templates, then added in the accordion item by setting Type to Page Template and choosing the template in Templates.
- Backend Visibility is off by default, so the editor shows only the template’s name; visitors still see the content, but a draft template shows “Unauthorized Access” until it is published.

Do you want more than text inside an accordion item? With an Elementor template, an item can hold a gallery, a form, a product grid or any design you build in Elementor.

The Accordion widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor can show a template in any item, and this works in the free plugin too.

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** Free — works in the free plugin and in Pro.- **Widget to enable:** Accordion, switched on under **The Plus Addons > Widgets**.- **A published Elementor template** with the content you want to show.

## Step 1: Create the template

Go to **Templates > Saved Templates**, click **Add New Template** (or import one), build the content in Elementor and publish it.

## Step 2: Pick it in the accordion item

- Add the Accordion widget and open the item in **Content**.- Set **Type** to **Page Template**.- Choose your template in **Templates**. The **Edit Template** button opens it; **Create Template** makes a new one.

The item now shows your template when it opens.

## Backend Visibility

**Backend Visibility** is off by default. The editor then shows only the template’s name, which keeps the editor fast. Turn it on to see the template in the editor. Visitors always see it.

## Limitations

- **The template must be published.** A draft shows visitors an “Unauthorized Access” notice instead of the content.- **One template per item.** Mix text and template items as you like.

## Troubleshooting

### The item shows only the template name in the editor

That is Backend Visibility being off. Turn it on, or check the published page.

### Visitors see “Unauthorized Access”

Publish the template, then clear the page cache.
