Do you want to embed a Vimeo video in Elementor? Adding video to your website helps you engage visitors and deliver your message in a format that text alone cannot match. Vimeo is a popular choice for hosting and embedding high-quality video without ads or forced recommendations.
With the Video widget in The Plus Addons for Elementor, you can embed a Vimeo video directly in the Elementor editor and control playback settings, branding elements, and visual options without any custom code.

Best Used For:
- Portfolio and creative agency websites showcasing client work or reel videos hosted on Vimeo.
- Online course and membership sites embedding lesson videos with controlled playback settings.
- Product landing pages and sales pages using video demos to explain a product or service.
Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor. Make sure it is installed and activated.
To do this, first get the Vimeo video ID. Once you have the video ID, add the Video widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor to the page and follow the steps.
1. Select Vimeo from the Source dropdown under the Video tab.
2. Then add the video ID in the Vimeo Id field.

From the Video Options tab, you can adjust how the video behaves on the page. To apply visual effects like grayscale or blur to the embedded video, see How to Add a CSS Filter to a Video in Elementor. You will find the following playback options –
- AutoPlay – Enable this toggle to start the video automatically when the page loads. Use this when the video is the primary focus of the page and you want visitors to begin watching without a click.
- Mute – Enable this toggle to silence the audio when the video plays. This is required when AutoPlay is enabled, since most browsers block autoplaying video with sound.
- Loop – Enable this toggle to repeat the video continuously. Use this for background or ambient video sections where continuous playback is needed.
- Video Touch Disable – Toggle this to enable or disable touch interaction on mobile. Disable touch when you want to prevent accidental taps from pausing the video on touchscreen devices.
- Controls Color – Set the color of the playback controls overlay. Match this to your site's color scheme to maintain a consistent visual style.
- Intro Title – Show or hide the video title Vimeo displays at the start of playback. Hide it for a cleaner, distraction-free player.
- Intro Portrait – Show or hide the video creator's profile image. Hide it when embedding a client or brand video where the creator identity should not appear.
- Intro Byline – Show or hide the username of the video creator. Hide it when you want to present the video without Vimeo branding elements.
That is how you can embed a Vimeo video in the Elementor editor. To display the video in a lightbox overlay instead of embedding it inline, see How to Create a Video Popup in Elementor.
