When you pull reviews from Facebook or Google you take what the platform gives you, spam included. The Social Reviews widget lets you drop individual reviews without dropping the source they came from.
Each review has an id. Turn the ids on, copy the one you want gone, and paste it into the exclude list.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Edition: Pro — Social Reviews ships only in The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. The widget does not exist in the free plugin at all: no widget file, no CSS and no JavaScript, so there is nothing to fall back to.
- Prerequisite: Elementor (free) installed and active.
- Widget to enable: go to The Plus Addons > Widgets, search for Social Reviews and turn its toggle on.
- No account needed: the Manual source needs no token, no key and no login. It is the one source you can use straight away.
Exclude a review
- Edit the page with Elementor and add the Social Reviews widget, with Type on Reviews.
- Add your reviews under Social Reviews, from whichever sources you want.
- Open Content > Review Option and turn Display Id & Exclude on.
- Look at the canvas. Each review now carries its id, with a copy button beside it. Copy the id of the review you want to hide.
- Paste it into Exclude Post Ids. For more than one, separate them with commas — the field’s own placeholder says Add Ids With A Comma To Exclude.
Copy the ids while you are still in the editor. They are printed in the Elementor canvas only; the published page shows no ids anywhere, so there is nothing to copy from once you have left the editor.

How It Behaves
- The ids are an editor-only aid. They are drawn in the Elementor canvas and nowhere else. Loading the published page prints no id at all, which is what you want — but it does mean you cannot look one up later without reopening the editor.
- Leaving Display Id & Exclude on does not affect visitors. Because the ids only render in the editor, you can leave the toggle on without changing the published page.
- Excluding is per widget. The list belongs to this widget, not to the source, so the same review can be hidden here and shown by another widget elsewhere.
Limitations
- The review ids are visible in the Elementor editor only. Display Id & Exclude prints the id next to each review inside the editor; on the published page no id is printed anywhere. Copy the ids while you are still editing.
- The id format is not something you can guess. It is generated by the widget from the review’s own data, and it differs between Facebook, Google and manual rows. Copy it; do not type it.
- Hiding a review does not change the source. It is still on Facebook or Google, and any rating average those platforms show is unaffected.
- If the review changes, its id may change with it. The id is derived from the review content, so an edited review can reappear.
Not verified
So you know exactly what has and has not been checked:
- Exclude Post Ids actually removing a review. The ids are editor-only, and the five values tried without opening the editor did not remove anything. That is inconclusive: it is not evidence the feature is broken, and it is not evidence it works.
- A wall of real Facebook or Google reviews. This page was checked without ever entering a real access token, API key or place id, so what the finished Facebook or Google feed looks like once connected was not observed for this revision. Everything below that does not need a credential was checked on a published page.
- Whether multiple comma-separated ids work. The field’s placeholder says they do; that was not exercised.
- The copy button itself. It was not clicked.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find the ids on my page
They are only drawn inside the Elementor editor. Open the page in Elementor, with Display Id & Exclude turned on, and look at the review cards on the canvas.
The Exclude Post Ids field is not there
It only appears once Display Id & Exclude is on. Both controls live in Content > Review Option, which itself only exists when Type is Reviews.
The review is still showing
Copy the id again rather than retyping it, and check for a stray space or a missing comma. Remember the result is cached too — lower Refresh Time under Content > Extra Options or wait for the cache to expire before judging.
A review I excluded came back
If the reviewer edited it, the id it generates can change. Turn the ids on again and copy the new one.
