Tabs normally open when someone clicks a title. On desktop, opening them as the mouse moves over the titles lets visitors scan the content faster.
The On Hover Tab option of the Tabs/Tours widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor does exactly that.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Edition: Pro — On Hover Tab needs The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. The Tabs/Tours widget itself is free.
- Widget to enable: Tabs/Tours, switched on under The Plus Addons > Widgets.
- In the free plugin the switch is visible, but turning it on only shows an upgrade notice and the tabs still open on click.
How to Open Tabs on Hover
- Add the Tabs/Tours widget and add your tabs in Content.
- Open Special Option and turn on On Hover Tab.
- Publish the page and move the mouse over the titles on the front end.
How It Behaves
- A tab opens as soon as the mouse is over its title.
- When the mouse leaves the titles, the last tab stays open.
- Only one tab is open at a time.
Limitations
- Do not combine it with Second Click Closed. With both on, the open tab closed again as soon as the mouse moved over its title.
- On Hover Tab is not part of the free plugin.
Troubleshooting
Tabs still open only on click
Check that On Hover Tab is on and that The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro is active. Then check the published page.
A tab opens and closes again under the mouse
Turn off Second Click Closed in the same section.
