# How to Create Image Cascading Slide Show in Elementor?

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** **Pro** — Image Cascading ships only in the Pro version of The Plus Addons for Elementor. The widget file is not in the free plugin at all, so it does not appear in the widget list without Pro.- **Widget to enable:** **Image Cascading**, under **The Plus Addons > Widgets**. Search for it and turn the toggle on, then reload the Elementor editor.- **Where the settings are:** drop the **Image Cascading** widget on the page. The **Content** tab holds three sections — **Image Cascading** (the layers), **Image Animation** and **Styling**.- **How it is built:** each item in the **Add Multiple Cascading Sections** repeater is one layer. Layers are absolutely positioned inside the widget, so they can overlap.- **You need at least two layers.** With one item there is nothing to cycle.

## Turn On the Slide Show

- Build the cascade first: add your layers under **Add Multiple Cascading Sections** and position each one. ## The Two Types

## How It Behaves

- Bringing a layer to the front really does move it: the widget reorders the layers, it does not just change a z-index. In our test with **Autoplay** at 1500 ms the running order rotated by itself on every interval.- The layer at the front carries an `active` class, so you can style it from the theme's custom CSS if you want to.- **Autoplay** keeps running while the page is open; there is no pause on hover and no stop after one round.

## Limitations

- **Text Content** layers are not part of the rotation. Use **Image** or **Lottie** layers for anything that should cycle; text layers simply stay where they are.- A Lottie layer only plays if it is the **first** item in **Add Multiple Cascading Sections**. In any later position the player script is never loaded and nothing is drawn. We saw this on two otherwise identical test pages in 6.5.0.- There are no arrows, dots or pause control. If you need those, a carousel widget is the better fit.- With **On Click** the last layer in the repeater cannot be clicked forward, because it is already the front one.

## Troubleshooting

### Nothing moves

Check that there are at least two layers, that **Slide Show** is on, and that you are looking at the published page — the rotation does not run inside the Elementor editor canvas.

### It cycles too fast or too slowly

**Autoplay Duration** is in milliseconds, not seconds. Enter 4000 for four seconds.

### One image never comes forward

Make sure it is an **Image** or **Lottie** layer. Text layers are skipped.
