WordPress’s default search results page mixes every searchable post type together, which is not always what a site with a dedicated custom post type search wants.
Dynamic Listing’s Search List mode connects the listing to one of the plugin’s own search widgets – Search Filter or Search Bar – so visitors searching through that widget see instant, matching results scoped to whatever Post Type this listing is set to.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Prerequisite: Elementor (free) installed and active.
- Edition: Dynamic Listing is a Pro widget – it needs The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro installed and its license activated. It will not appear in the free plugin.
- Widget to enable: go to The Plus Addons > Widgets, search for Dynamic Listing and turn its toggle on.
Steps
- Add the Dynamic Listing widget to the page, alongside a Search Filter or Search Bar widget.
- Set Post Listing Types to Search List.
Set Post Type to the specific custom post type you want search scoped to, so only matches from that one post type ever appear as the visitor types or submits a search.
