# How to show Elementor Popup for a Specific Date and Time Period?

##

- Utilizes the Popup Builder widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor to display popups for specific date and time periods.
- Enables users to set exact Start Date and End Date fields, including specific times for popup visibility.
- Recommends combining the time-based display option with conditions like On Page Load or After Inactivity for optimal results.

Running a Black Friday sale, a launch week or a one-day offer? The popup should appear when the offer starts and disappear by itself when it ends.

The Popup Builder widget in The Plus Addons for Elementor can be scheduled between two dates and times.

## Before You Start

- **Edition:** **Pro** — the Popup Builder widget is part of The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. It does not appear in the widget panel of the free plugin.- **Widget to enable:** Popup Builder, switched on under **ThePlus Settings > Widgets**.

> ***Show For Specific Time is a condition, not a trigger.** It decides whether the popup exists on the page; something else still opens it, such as **On Page Load**.*

## Step 1: Add a trigger

Add the **Popup Builder** widget and set its content. In **Content > Display Options**, switch on **On Page Load** or another trigger. Set **Select Option** (Content > Content) to **Hidden** so no button or icon appears on the page — the popup opens by itself. Leave it on Call To Action or Icon if visitors should also be able to open it by clicking.

## Step 2: Turn on Show For Specific Time

Switch on **Show For Specific Time** and click the pencil icon.

## Step 3: Set the start and end

Pick the **Start Date** and **End Date**, each with a time of day.

> *The times use your **site's timezone**, set in WordPress under Settings > General — not the visitor's. Check it before scheduling.*

## Settings Reference

| Setting | Where | Default |
| ------- | ----- | ------- |
| Show For Specific Time | Content > Display Options | Off |
| Start Date | Show For Specific Time options | Empty |
| End Date | Show For Specific Time options | Empty |

## Limitations

- **Outside the window the popup is not on the page at all,** including its button or icon if you use one.- **Page caching can lag.** The check happens when the page is generated, so a cached page may start or stop the popup late. Clear the cache at the start and end times, or exclude the page from caching during the offer.- **One window per popup.** For a second period, use a second Popup Builder.- **Pro only.** The Popup Builder is not in the free plugin.

## Troubleshooting

### It starts or ends at the wrong hour

Check the timezone in Settings > General. A city timezone is safer than a UTC offset because it follows daylight saving time.

### It still shows after the end date

A cached copy of the page is being served. Clear the page cache.
