This month’s release of The Plus Addons for Elementor brings new scroll options and better controls across widgets, giving you a smoother and more flexible building experience.
Here’s a quick look at what’s new:
- Stagger Animation Update in Hotspot Widget: The On Scroll Animation option in the Hotspot widget now uses a dropdown selector for Stagger Animation instead of the previous toggle switch. If you’ve used Stagger Animation in the Hotspot widget before, you’ll need to re-select your stagger option once from the new dropdown after updating.
- Lenis Smooth Scroll Option (Pro): The Smooth Scroll widget now includes a Lenis-based smooth scrolling option, delivering buttery-smooth page scrolling with better performance than traditional methods. If you want that modern, fluid scroll feel on your pages, this one’s worth enabling.
- GSAP Scroll Animation: Timeline & 3D (Pro): The GSAP Scroll Animation extension now supports Timeline sequencing and 3D transform options, giving you much more control over how elements animate as users scroll through your pages.
- Global Scroll Animation: You can now apply scroll animations globally across multiple widgets at once, instead of configuring each one individually. Set it once, reuse everywhere.
- Global Button Styles (Beta): Global button styles are now available across multiple widgets with responsive controls for margin, padding, border width, border radius, and an icon option. Style your buttons in one place, and every widget follows.
- Dynamic Tags Expansion: Dynamic Tags now support Category Image, Category Description, Category Post Count, Tag Description, Tag Post Count, and ACF Text Source for Post Author details. Build archive pages and author profiles with dynamic data, no custom code needed.
- Form Widget: Database Entries: The Form Widget now includes an option to show form database entries, so you can keep track of submissions directly inside WordPress.
- Protected Content: URL Redirect: Protected Content now supports URL redirect, letting you send unauthorized users to a specific page instead of just showing a restriction message.
- Woo Compare: Responsive Swiper: The Woo Compare widget now includes a responsive swiper option for better product comparison on mobile devices.
- Scroll Navigation Dot Positioning: You can now control the exact position of navigation dots in the Scroll Navigation widget. Place them wherever fits your layout best, whether that’s centered, offset, or aligned to a specific section.
- Testimonials Author Image Toggle: A new show/hide option for the author image in the Testimonials widget gives you cleaner control when you want a text-only testimonial layout without manually removing images.

Elementor V4 Compatibility Update
Elementor has officially launched Version 4.0, also called the Atomic Editor, their biggest architectural change in a decade.
Elementor V4 introduces a CSS-first, class-driven design system where styling is applied through reusable Classes instead of inline styles. Each element now uses a single DIV wrapper instead of multiple nested ones, resulting in a significantly cleaner DOM and improved Core Web Vitals scores.
The Plus Addons for Elementor is now fully compatible with Elementor V4.
Your existing The Plus Addons for Elementor widgets continue to work seamlessly alongside the new atomic elements. You can use V3 widgets and V4 atomic elements on the same page without conflicts.

- Elementor has launched Version 4.0 (The Atomic Editor), featuring a completely new CSS-first architecture with reusable Variables, Classes, and Components. The update introduces a cleaner DOM, improved Core Web Vitals, and composable Atomic Forms. Existing V3 sites can transition gradually, with V3 and V4 working together on the same page.
- Elementor has introduced Angie, an Agentic AI assistant purpose-built for WordPress. Angie understands your site structure, integrates with tools, and can execute actions on your behalf, going beyond simple content suggestions to actual site management.
- WordPress has released WordPress 6.9.4 on March 11 as a maintenance and security update. If you’re not ready for WordPress 7.0 yet, make sure you’re at least on 6.9.4 to stay protected.
- Google has rolled out both a March 2026 Spam Update and Core Update within the same week, creating significant ranking volatility. The core update began rolling out on March 27 and is expected to finish around April 10, with Semrush Sensor reaching 9.5/10 during peak volatility. Google is tightening its stance on low-quality AI content and strengthening search intent matching.
- WordPress 7.0 has been delayed past its original April 9 date. The core team pushed it back to stabilize the real-time collaboration feature. A new timeline will be confirmed by April 22, with the release now targeting mid-to-late May 2026. When it ships: real-time multi-user editing, inline Editor Notes, an AI Connectors UI for managing AI providers in wp-admin, and DataViews replacing the classic WP List Tables.
- Google has announced that from July 1, 2026, websites without a functional mobile version will be excluded from Google’s index entirely. If your site isn’t mobile-friendly yet, this is the deadline to act.
