A carousel that moves on its own shows visitors more than the first slide, even if they never click.
The Carousel Anything widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor has an Autoplay option that moves to the next slide on a timer, with an optional pause while the visitor points at the carousel.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Edition: Pro — Autoplay needs The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. The Carousel Anything widget itself is free.
- Widget to enable: Carousel Anything, switched on under The Plus Addons > Widgets.
- Slides: one saved Elementor template per slide, created under Templates > Saved Templates and published.
Steps
- Select the Carousel Anything widget and open Style > Carousel Options.
- In the Desktop tab, turn on Autoplay. In Pro it is on by default.
- Set Autoplay Speed in milliseconds (500 to 10000, default 3000).
- Turn on Pause On Hover if the carousel should stop while the visitor points at it.
Publish the page and watch it on the front end. Autoplay does not run inside the Elementor editor.

How It Behaves
- The time between two slides is Autoplay Speed plus Slide Speed. With the defaults (3000 + 1500) the slide changed about every 4.5 seconds in our test; with 1000 and 300, about every 1.3 seconds.
- With Infinite Mode on, autoplay goes from the last slide back to the first.
- With Infinite Mode off, autoplay does not stop at the last slide: it runs backwards to the first slide and then forwards again.
- With Pause On Hover, the carousel stayed on the same slide while the pointer was over it and continued as soon as the pointer left.
- Tablets and phones can have their own autoplay: open the Tablet or Mobile tab, turn on Responsive Tablet or Responsive Mobile, then set Autoplay and Autoplay Speed there.
Limitations
- Turning on Responsive Tablet or Responsive Mobile also turns on autoplay for that device (speed 1500), even when desktop autoplay is off. Turn it off in that tab if you do not want it.
- Autoplay does not run in the Elementor editor, only on the published page.
- Autoplay and Pause On Hover are not part of the free plugin. In the free widget they show an upgrade notice.
Troubleshooting
The carousel does not move in the editor
That is expected. Preview or publish the page to see autoplay.
The carousel moves backwards at the end
Turn on Infinite Mode so it loops from the last slide to the first.
Slides change too slowly
Lower Autoplay Speed, and check Slide Speed: a long transition adds to the wait.
