Are long post titles wrapping onto three or four lines and breaking your grid? Limiting the title length keeps every card the same height.
The Blog/Post Listing widget in The Plus Addons for Elementor can cut titles by word or by character.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Edition: Free — available in both The Plus Addons for Elementor (Free) and Pro.
- Widget to enable: Blog/Post Listing, switched on under ThePlus Settings > Widgets.
Step 1: Turn on Title Limit
Add the Blog/Post Listing widget. Turn on Title Limit, which is off by default. Where it is depends on your edition:
- Pro: Content > Special Option
- Free: Content > Extra Option — the free plugin has no Special Option section
Step 2: Choose words or characters
Limit on defaults to Character. Set it to Word to avoid cutting a word in half.
Step 3: Set the Title Count
Enter the number of words or characters to keep in Title Count. Around 8 words, or 50 to 60 characters, fits most three-column grids.
Step 4: Add dots
Turn on Display Dots to add … to every title that was cut, so readers can tell there is more.

Limitations
- The listing only. The full title still shows on the post itself and in search results.
- One limit for every post. There is no per-post override.
- Not on Smart Loop Builder. There, write
{{tpae_title_60}}in your template to keep the first 60 characters, or any number you like.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find Title Limit
On the free plugin it is in Extra Option, not Special Option.
Titles are cut mid-word
Limit on is still Character. Switch it to Word.
Nothing changes
Title Count is empty or larger than your titles. Enter a smaller number.
