Do you want to remove the author name from your blog post listing? On a company blog, or when one person publishes everything, the byline under every post is noise.
The Blog/Post Listing widget in The Plus Addons for Elementor lets you switch it off. Which switch you use depends on the listing style and on whether you have the free or Pro version.

Before You Start
- Edition: Free and Pro, with a difference. Pro can hide the author alone on every style. The free plugin can hide it alone on Style 5; on Style 1 it can only hide the author and date together.
- Widget to enable: Blog/Post Listing, switched on under ThePlus Settings > Widgets.
Which switch do you need?

All of these are in Content > Extra Option.
Hide only the author (Pro, Styles 1 to 4)
Step 1: Open Display Post Meta
Add the Blog/Post Listing widget and choose your style and layout. Open Content > Extra Option and find Display Post Meta. It is on by default; if it is off, switch it on. Then click the pencil icon beside it to open its options.
Step 2: Turn off Display Author
Inside the Display Post Meta options, switch off Display Author. The author name disappears from every post in the listing; the date stays.
Display Author Picture, just below it, controls the small avatar separately.
Hide only the author on Style 5 (Free and Pro)
Style 5 does not use Display Post Meta at all. It has its own switch: in Content > Extra Option, turn off Author Name. It is on by default.
Free plugin on Style 1
The free Style 1 shows the date and author as a single line, and there is no separate author switch. Turning off Display Post Meta removes both. To keep the date but hide the author, switch to Style 5 or upgrade to Pro.

Limitations
- The per-item switches are Pro. Display Author, Display Date and Display Author Picture are not in the free plugin.
- It applies to the whole listing. There is no per-post option to hide one author and keep another.
- The listing only. This hides the name in the blog listing, not on the single post page, which comes from your theme or single post template.
Troubleshooting
I switched off Display Author but the name is still there
You are probably on Style 5, which ignores Display Post Meta. Turn off Author Name in Content > Extra Option instead.
There is no Display Author switch
Either you have the free plugin, or you have not opened the Display Post Meta options — click the pencil icon next to it.
The date disappeared too
You turned off Display Post Meta itself. Turn it back on and switch off only Display Author inside it.
