A background slideshow shows several photos in the same space, one after another, without a slider widget.
The Row Background widget from The Plus Addons for Elementor cycles through your images behind the content of a container, with a choice of transitions and texture overlays.

Requirement – This widget is a part of The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro, make sure it’s installed & activated to enjoy all its powers.
Before You Start
- Edition: Pro — the Row Background widget is only available in The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro.
- Widget to enable: Row Background, switched on under The Plus Addons > Widgets.
- Where to put it: drop the widget inside the container (or classic section) that should get the background. It draws nothing of its own; the background fills that container.
Steps
- Add the Row Background widget to the container and open Content > Deep Layer.
- Set Select Option to Creative Background Gallery.
- Click Add Multiple Images and choose the images for the slideshow.
- Choose a Transition Effects style, then set Transition Duration and Slide Delay Time in milliseconds.
- Optional: pick a Texture Overlay style to lay a pattern over the images.

How It Behaves
- With three images, a 1000 ms transition and a 2000 ms delay, the background changed to the next image about every two seconds and went back to the first image after the last one.
- A texture overlay is drawn on top of every image of the slideshow.
Limitations
- The slideshow always loops and plays on its own; there are no arrows or dots to control it.
Troubleshooting
The images change too slowly
The defaults are a 7-second delay plus a 5-second transition. Lower Slide Delay Time and Transition Duration.
