One password for everyone is awkward once more than one group needs access. If you hand the same code to two customer groups you cannot change it for one of them.
The Protected Content widget in The Plus Addons for Elementor lets you list several passwords for the same content. Any one of them unlocks it.

Before You Start
- Edition: Pro — Protected Content is only in The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro. With the Pro plugin switched off the widget is not in the editor at all, and a page that already uses it shows nothing where the widget was — not the gate and not the protected content either.
- Widget to enable: Protected Content, switched on under The Plus Addons > Widgets. Search for the widget name there and turn its toggle on.
- Use a throwaway password while you build: the password is stored as plain text in the page’s Elementor data, so treat it as a shared door code rather than a secret, and never reuse a password from anywhere else.
Add More Than One Password
- Add the Protected Content widget and put what you want to protect in the Content section.
- Open the Protection Type section and set Protection Type to Multiple Password.
- One row is already there, and it already has a password in it. Open the row and replace the value in Set Password with your own.
- Click + Add Item and set a second password in the new row. Repeat for as many as you need.
- In the Message section, write the line that visitors see before they unlock anything.
The row that is there when you switch to Multiple Password is not empty — it contains 1234. Publish without touching it and that is a working password for your content.
What Visitors See
Every visitor gets the same single password box, whichever password they have been given. The widget tries each password in your list and unlocks the content on the first match.

There is no way for a visitor to tell which of your passwords they used, and no record of it is kept, so the rows are not a way to identify who came in.
Remembering the Unlock
By default an unlock lasts for that one page view: reload the page and the password is asked for again. Open the Cookie popover in the same section, switch it to Custom and set Days (1 to 365) if you want the browser to remember it.
Show Content, just above Cookie, reveals the content on the published page as well as in the editor. Leave it on Hide for anything you actually want gated.
How It Behaves
- The passwords are compared exactly — case, spaces and punctuation all count.
- Rows are independent. Removing one row does not affect the others, so you can retire a single group’s password.
- All the rows protect the same content. If two groups need different content, use two widgets.
- Each widget keeps its own unlock, so a visitor who unlocks one section on the page is not let into another.
Limitations
- Passwords are stored as plain text in the page’s Elementor data, and the repeater shows each one in its row title in the panel. Treat them as shared door codes, not secrets.
- Nothing limits how many attempts a visitor can make.
- If you switch Cookie on, the remembered unlock is an ordinary browser cookie with a fixed value rather than proof that a password was entered.
- Only the widget’s content is gated. The page itself stays reachable at its URL.
Troubleshooting
A password that should work is rejected
Check the row is saved and the page republished, and look for a trailing space in Set Password. Re-type the value rather than pasting it.
Visitors have to type a password on every page
Each Protected Content widget is unlocked on its own. If the same group should reach several sections, either put them in one widget or switch Cookie on for each one.
The content shows without any password
Show Content is switched on. Set it back to Hide.
